Michael Wusik, PhD

Clinical Psychologist/Consultant, Pronouns: He/Him

For over a decade, Dr. Wusik has been working in the mental health field delivering cutting edge, effective therapies to teens, adults and families.

Dr. Wusik studied clinical science at Virginia Tech and completed his doctoral training at the University of Maryland Medical School/Baltimore Veterans Hospital Consortium. During that time, he worked under the foremost specialists in trauma, mood and behavioral disorders as well as receiving specialized training in ACT and DBT.

Dr. Wusik specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) for health and wellness changes and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Diana Ginns, PhD, BCBA-D

Clinical Psychologist/Certified Supervisor, Pronouns: She/Her

Dr. Ginns has been working with children in a therapeutic capacity for over 15 years. In those 15 years, she has worked as a school psychologist, therapist, school consultant and licensed psychologist specializing in family systems and children with behavioral difficulties.

Dr. Ginns completed her doctoral training and residency at the Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. During this time, she worked under some of the foremost specialists in behavior disorders and family systems. She received specialized training in collaborative problem solving to derive unique, meaningful therapeutic treatments for clients.

Dr. Ginns’ work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She is a licensed psychologist and board certified behavior analyst. Dr. Ginns currently sees individual clients across the lifespan.

 
 

Michael Tamburino, PhD

Clinical Psychologist, Pronouns: He/Him

Dr. Tamburino completed his graduate training in clinical psychology at New York University and St. John’s University, where he focused on the treatment of severe and persistent mental illness. Dr. Tamburino’s therapeutic approach combines elements of of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Therapy and Object Relations Theory to help people address difficulties in relationships and personal struggles with anxiety and depression.

Along with his generalist training, Dr. Tamburino has also received specialized training in empirically-supported treatments for PTSD and substance use disorders. For the last decade, Dr. Tamburino has provided effective, compassionate treatment for trauma-survivors and those struggling with addictive/compulsive behaviors.

Dr. Tamburino specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Dr. Tamburino is also a preferred provider for the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA).

Zack Isoma, PsyD

Clinical Psychologist/Consultant

Dr. Zack completed his graduate training at Pacific University of Oregon. Dr. Zack utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a primary approach to therapy. Dr. Zack has a particular interest in working with men’s issues, including how men experience depression, anxiety and trauma.

In additional to his generalize training, Dr. Zack has received specialized training in fire service psychology. He works closely with the first responder community and holds positions as service chair on the Fire Service Psychological Association, on the board of advisors for the Suncoast Alliance of First Responders and as clinical specialist with the Tampa Bay Regional Critical Incident Team.

Erica Lozy, PhD, BCBA

Clinical Psychologist, Pronouns: She/Her

Dr. Lozy completed her master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She went on to obtain doctoral training in School Psychology at Louisiana State University. Dr. Lozy is an independently-licensed psychologist and board certified behavior analyst (BCBA).

Dr. Lozy specializes in family-based behavioral training for caregivers of children with problem behavior, as well as individual therapy for pre-teen and adolescents with anxiety, depression and conduct disorders. Dr. Lozy has a unique skill set informed by Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her treatment model includes coordinating services within the school, home and community settings to increase treatment effectiveness.

Dr. Karla Aguilu, PsyD

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Aguilu completed her graduate work at Nova Southeastern University and her graduate-level training at the Children’s Institute in Los Angeles, CA.

Dr. Aguilu has a passion for helping patients navigate life’s challenges coupled with over 13 years of experience providing therapeutic services across the life-span. Dr. Aguilu is a generalized psychologist who works with children, teens, adults and full families. Dr. Aguilu specializes in grief, end of life concerns, mixed-family situations, immigration evaluations and major life transitions. Dr. Aguilu utilizes skills from CBT, DBT and TF-CBT while tailoring treatment to fit the diverse population she works with. Additionally, as a native Spanish speaker, Dr. Aguilu is committed to making services accessible to those who need it.

Amanda Schmitt, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Pronouns: She/Her

Amanda completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of South Florida and currently practices as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has worked in nonprofit, community mental health and school settings. Amanda is also a trauma-informed yoga instructor.

Amanda’s treatment style is tailored to empower clients by blending evidence-based cognitive techniques with somatic practices to encourage holistic healing. Amanda integrates experiential and mindfulness practices into treatment, such as yoga and breathwork. Amanda also specializes in individual therapy for adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, life transition and women’s issues. Amanda is passionate about working with trauma survivors and is pursuing specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

Sophie Hall

Office Administrator, Pronouns: She/Her

Sophie is the backbone of the PGTB office, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow. With her passion for helping other and strengthening the team, Sophie manages various administrative tasks vital for the day-to-day operations of the clinic. She oversees scheduling, onboarding of new clients and correspondence with insurance companies. Sophie is known for her friendly demeanor, patience and willingness to assist and to find creative solutions to tricky problems. These factors make Sophie an invaluable asset to the PGTB organization and a key part of the PGTB mission.
